Compensation: $85,000.00-$115,000.00 plus bonus pay (commensurate with experience)

Position Summary

The Environmental Consultant works collaboratively with team members to manage a variety of projects that primarily involve environmental (including excess soil), geotechnical, and hydrogeological site assessments. You will be working on multiple project files ranging in value from $10s of thousands to $1M+.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Overseeing all aspects of multi-disciplinary projects, including on-site project resources, teams, and tasks
• Managing client relationships and expectations throughout the lifecycle of projects
• Ensuring project timelines are met safely, on time, and within budget
• Preparing well-thought-out scopes of work and proposals
• Writing reports
• Mentoring and supporting junior and technical field staff
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of existing and emerging regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Participating in developing and/or presenting and attending conferences to further advance your expertise and to continue to elevate BlueFrog’s name recognition in the industry

Required experience and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental or geotechnical engineering
• Eng. or P.Geo. designation would be considered an asset
• Minimum 7 years of work experience in the environmental consulting sector
• Expert working knowledge of applicable Ontario Regulations and Standards
• Experience completing and/or supporting geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations
• Experience executing and overseeing Phase I and II environmental site assessments (ESAs) and O.Reg. 153/04 compliant Phase One and Two ESAs
• Experience executing O.Reg. 406/19 Excess Soil Management projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Creative mindset and problem-solving skills
• Strong client service attitude, responsiveness, and sense of urgency
• Valid driver’s license
